Where Paint Meets Prayer
Hi, I’m Amy. Maker of messy magic, mama to a blended neurodiverse family, and your guide through the tender art of remembering who you are. This is the heart of what I do: translating stories into brushstrokes, emotions into colour, and imperfection into something sacred. Coffee is usually cold. The paint is usually everywhere. And somehow, that’s exactly where I feel most whole; held by grace, guided by faith, and covered in splatters of holy chaos.
My brand, Coffee Stained Canvases, was born from caffeine, paint-splattered dresses, and the kind of motherhood that teaches you to find divine beauty in the mayhem. I was a single mum navigating life with a neurodivergent child, and art became more than a practice; it became a lifeline, a prayer whispered in colour. From live painting and exhibiting across Brisbane to creating affirmation cards on my coffee table between school drop-offs and sensory meltdowns, I’ve always followed my creative instincts like a compass through the storm and trusting that God meets us in the mess.
A few years later, after grief and loss, and the wild ride of raising a blended family, I realized that self-care couldn’t wait for spare time. I needed art to breathe, regulate, and return to the quiet place where I could hear God’s whisper again. I knew other creative, free-spirited mums did too. That’s why I started Coffee Stained Canvases: a haven for handmade bits n bobs, custom paintings, and creative offerings that aren’t about being perfect, they’re about being present, unmasked, and deeply loved.
Everything I make and offer is designed to help you fill your cup with compassion, calm, and a bit of colourful rebellion. Whether you’re here for a piece of art, a moment of peace, or a reminder that you matter, you’re home now. This is a place to pour out emotions, pray with paint, and problem-solve like Pollak in a cozy home of grace. Welcome to the messy magic: where faith meets colour and healing begins.
